--- ADVANCED BOATER TRAINING COURSES ---

Dyess Maritime Consultants is the only source of United States Coast Guard Captain's License instruction in the Dallas, Texas area. DMC is the only boater training facility in North Texas that offers U. S. Coast Guard captain's licenses. It is also the only training facility with an American Sailing Association certified Instructor Evaluator on staff (an instructor authorized to certify other instructors). The staff includes both male and female instructors.

UNITED STATES COAST GUARD CAPTAIN'S LICENSES

The USCG issues two different licenses for small boat operators (vessels less than 100 gross tons - about 80 feet in length). We provide the necessary materials, training, testing and administration to secure either of these licenses. The two licenses are:

*Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (commonly referred to as a 6-pac license).

*Master Mariner up to 100 gross tons.

The following endorsements to the basic licenses are also available:

*Near Coastal Waters (needed for off-shore operations)

*Commercial Assistance Towing (recommended for all commercial operators of any
type)

*Sailing & Auxiliary Sail (required for sailboat captains and instructors)

Since we are a U. S. Coast Guard Approved Training School, no additional testing
by the Coast Guard is required after completing our course of instruction.

Classes are taught in Fort Worth, TX.

AMERICAN SAILING ASSOCIATION SAILING CERTIFICATIONS

In partnership with Bay Area Sailing School in Kemah, TX, we offer sailing and sailing instructor certifications from beginning sailing through off shore, all-weather coastal
cruising.

Classes are taught in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and on Galveston Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
